Ouch~ The First Real Boo-Boo

Ivy has had her fair share of bumps but today we had our first real boo-boo. She busted the little connector between your gum and top lip.... and boy does it bleed! I was in shock! And I am not one to deal with blood very well but nurse Mommy kicked it up a notch and saved the day. (I didn't think I had it in me!!) I handled the situation all by myself with some wet paper towel, a cold-pack, the paci, and of course nothing beats hugs and kisses. Ivy's mouth looks really sore but she has been a trooper! The first bloody boo-boo was bound to happen sooner or later. I am sure there will be many more to follow~ OUCH!!

Poor Kaya~ She was the most thankful cat in the world.... that was when we thought Ivy was never going to crawl. Now she thinks she has died and gone to, well- there is no other way to say it, but hell. Kaya was once the fattest and laziest cat in the world and now she can't rest, eat, or mozy without Ivy right behind her. Ivy on the other hand, is just in it for the chase! She does her "meowing" cat call as she follows behind her but once there she totally loses interest in our chubby little friend!

Summer Fun :)

Happy Father's Day!! We finger-painted a picture for our daddy! :) It was hilarious to see Ivy scoop up globs of paint and then slam them back on the paper. She had a "What the heck is my mom making me do??" look on her face. Eventually she got the idea of smearing it around... this is nothing strange considering her high chair behavior!

Hooray!!! We are at the park.... Our whole family enjoys being outside so we have taken advantage of many pretty days. Now we have our very own swing at Nana and Pops house so we have made several trips over, just to swing!

Ivy really enjoyed her first time at the pool! She has since become a professional-baby pool explorer. She has no fear of the water, so hopefully her courage will be displayed on our beach vacation next week! And hopefully....I won't be too nervous!

Did I Finally Do It?

So I believe I have finally done what so many other mommies and mommies-to-be have already started.... I have created a family blog. I am not very technologically savvy so I hope to become more equipped to survive in today's society while running this operation. :) It sounds so complicated!

I hope to provide family and friends a sneak-peek into our lives with pictures, stories, and family (mostly Ivy) news. Please enjoy!!! :)
